Dhamaal is one of the funniest movies to have come out in Hindi film industry. The movie has been watched by millions across the world and has even won many awards. This movie features Ajay Devgan, Abhishek Bachchan, Govinda and Sanjay Dutt portraying different roles. The movie was produced by Harshad Warsi who is also one of the producers of this film. After the release of this film, Aravind Adiga has written his book titled "Dhamaal". It is considered to be the most popular movie of Ajay Devgan till date. The movie was said to be inspired from Gujarati film "Mera Naam Joker", but it never came close to that film's success when it came to Indian cinema. The music in this movie is composed by Sandeep Shirodkar with lyrics penned by Siddharth-Garima. The lyrics were written by Javed Akhtar who returned the record after his successful "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" (2004). Aravind Adiga wrote his novel on this movie 'Dhamaal' based on this movie of Devgn starrer, which he read fifty pages before writing down that book of his. The novel was released on 2 November 2015 in Mumbai, India. Theatrical Trailers Dhamaal received 14 nominations for different awards in various categories, including a nomination for Critics award. However, it did not win any award. The film did not win any awards at the inaugural ceremony of IIFA Awards 2010 held in Kolkata. Music was released on 1 November 2007. The music label, T-Series, took the rights of the music album and its release. The song "Parwana" was also released on 14 October 2007 on Devgn's official YouTube channel to promote Dhamaal.
